Training and Placement

Welcome to the Placement Cell at St. Joseph's College for Women. The cell is committed to empowering students with the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to begin their careers and thrive in the professional world.

The primary mission is to facilitate transitions from academia to the workforce: empowering students with guidance and employability skills, forging industry partnerships for internships and jobs, offering career development services (résumé workshops, mock interviews, networking), and organizing on-campus recruitment drives and career programmes.

The Placement Cell operates with a student-centric approach, focusing on personalised support so that each learner can build confidence and connections in a competitive job market.

Types of placement activities

  • Orientation and career guidance sessions (including TNPSC, civil services awareness, aviation, cloud accounting, AI, self-employment skills)
  • Placement drives, virtual placement drives and state-level recruitment programmes
  • Communication skill development, group discussion practice, and “think tank” style placement training
  • LinkedIn career programmes and industry webinars
