SJC Eco Club
“Where there is green, there is prosperity”—environment days, wildlife week, treks, and tree plantation.
SJC Eco Club was inaugurated with the aim of inspiring the student community to actively contribute to the preservation of the environment. The motto of the SJC Eco Club is “Where there is green, there is prosperity.” The club is a platform for meaningful environmental activities and observes environment-oriented days such as World Ozone Day, World Water Day, and World Environment Day.
The Wildlife Week celebration hosted by the SJC Eco Club promotes awareness of the importance of biodiversity conservation.
The club organises eco-trekking trips such as to Thoovanam Waterfalls and Marayoor. These trips offer lessons in biodiversity conservation and deepen respect for the natural environment.
The club’s annual Community Tree Plantation Drive brings together students, staff, and community members to plant native tree species and enhance green spaces in the chosen area.
